A Ghanian Lady, Yvonne Adjey, has celebrated bagging a first-class degree years after a poor WASSCE (WAEC) result.

According to Yvonne, she got worried when she finished high school with a WASSCE result that she did not expect. However, life still turned out to be amazing as she proceeded to study a program she now has a lot of love for with much success.
Yvonne wrote on her LinkedIn page:
“With teary eyes while reading Bonnie Ware’s “Five regret of the dying”, I decided to post this win. I cannot really remember what prevented me from doing so in the first place. But I know that it is worth it.
I just could not let these pictures sit in my gallery. Particularly, because I do not want to regret not doing this. I want the underprivileged young girl to see this and know that I have failed before. And that when I failed, I rose again as the best graduating student at St. Fidelis SHS and won a scholarship. I want her to know I was not financially wired to further my education. And that I am here because I never dropped the hope of furthering my education.
“Indeed, all is well that ends well. Few weeks ago, I graduated with a First Class Honors (BA Geography and Rural Development) from KNUST. It has been a rocky journey full of uncertainties, but we made it regardless.
“In the past 4 years, I have learned and grown. I have challenged myself in sereval unimaginable ways. I believe firmly now, that there is something to learn in every event. I’m grateful for both the failures and wins. Especially the failures that directed me to where I am today.
“Everything I am and all I have achieved till this day, did not happen by magic. I could not have accomplished this without the priceless support and contribution of some brilliant individuals that God intentionally placed in my life.
“To my parent, I am truly grateful for your words of encouragement. To friends and wonderful mentors, you played a special role in this journey and I cannot post this without acknowledging you. Thank you.
“I am incredibly grateful to the Mastercard Foundation for giving me a chance. Thank you for restoring my confidence and giving me the opportunity to show the world what I possess.”
Tons of congratulatory messages were poured on her. Some of which are:
Keziah: Congratulations Hanifa Fuseini. You overcame all obstacles and now success is your story! The sky is not even a limit to what you can achieve!
Amina: Woow congratulation dear. May Allah bless your effort.
William: An exceptional and brilliant young lady! Congratulations Hanifa . Cheers to this and more wins in year’s to come.
