Michael Okpara University Warns Against Fake Admission Advertisements

Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, MOUAU has warned against Unauthorized Admission Advert for College of Management Sciences COLMAS Programmes

The attention of the Management of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike has been drawn to an advertisement in various Social Media Platforms, by some persons, inviting candidates who scored 150 and above in JAMB UTME to apply to the University for admission into programmes in our College of Management Sciences (COLMAS).

While we state clearly that the authors/sponsors of the said advertisement are not known or authorised by the University Management to place such advertisement, it is imperative that the public is informed or reminded of the following developments as far as admission into the undergraduate programmes in COLMAS is concerned:

  • The undergraduate programmes of Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, Marketing and Business Administration in MOUAU are now fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). This news is in public space.
  • The programmes have also been listed in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) IBASS. This means that the University has satisfied every requirement for admission of candidates into the programme effective 2024/2025 Academic Session
  • Qualified Candidates for 2025/2026 Admissions are therefore at liberty to change their choice of institutions and programmes from other universities to Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike to study the above-listed programmes. The steps to follow are clearly available on the JAMB Portal.
  • No cut-off mark for any programme has been placed by either JAMB or the Admissions Board of MOUAU.
  • The University therefore disassociates itself from the said advertisement and any unauthorized person/s who may be behind it for whatever reasons.
  • The general public, especially unsuspecting admission seekers are strongly advised to visit the University website, www.mouau.edu.ng for information about the University.
