Cursory: Sandra Goddy, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), expressed frustration on TikTok over her low monthly stipend of N33,000. In her video, Sandra highlighted the financial challenges she faces and lamented that her allowance barely covers basic expenses, such as food, emphasizing the disparity of her earnings to those abroad and the difficulty of saving.

Sandra Goddy, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), recently took to TikTok to express her frustration over the meager stipend she receives.
In a video shared on the platform, Sandra lamented the challenges of making ends meet with her monthly allowance of N33,000.
In the video, Sandra highlighted the financial constraints she faces, revealing that her stipend could only afford her four cartons of noodles per month.
She expressed disappointment that, despite her efforts to save, it would take her at least 10 months to afford an iPhone with her salary.
Sandra’s frustration grew as she compared her monthly allowance to the earnings of individuals abroad, emphasizing that the N33,000 she receives monthly is equivalent to what others earn per hour in foreign countries.
She lamented that even if she saved two months’ worth of salary, it would still not be enough to purchase a bag of rice in Nigeria.
Sandra’s plight highlights the need for policymakers to address the issue of inadequate allowances for NYSC members, ensuring that they can afford basic necessities and live comfortably during their service year.
