NDU Basic Studies Admission Form for 2026/2027 Academic Session is now on sale. The deadline to apply isn’t specified but you should apply as soon as you can.


The Niger Delta University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the Pre-Degree Programmes for 2026/2027 session. The Programme leads to the award of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Certificates which enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admission to 200 level of the degrees offered by the Niger Delta University and other JUPEB affiliated Universities in Nigeria and Universities abroad. The JUPEB Certificate is equivalent to the Advance Level GCE or the Old Higher School Certificates (HSC) or IJMB. For admission into the Niger Delta University and other JUPEB affiliate institutions, each candidate, in addition to passing the prescribed JUPEB examination for issuing the Direct Entry Certificates, must satisfy all admission requirements prescribed by Departments and Faculties of choice.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates seeking admission to the JUPEB Pre-degree Programmes must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in at least Five (5) subjects at “O” Level, including English Language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings in the GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB). The following Faculties and Departments are available.

Niger Delta University one year basic programme is designed to improve the performance of Secondary School Leavers in the UTME and equivalent examinations. It should be noted that preference will be given to candidates of the programme in the University Admission process.
NDU Basic Studies Admission Requirements & Duration.
- Applicants must have five ‘O’ level credits relevant to the proposed course of study including English Language.
- Admission is open to candidates that are awaiting the release of the most recent WAEC and NECO School Certificate Examination results as well as those who have attempted and are still preparing to sit for these exams again. However, admission to Degree Programmes in the University will also depend on candidate’s performance in the current JAMB.
DURATION OF PROGRAMME: One Academic Year. Further details concerning fees payable per year and the programme structure, including the schedule of course per year can be obtained from the NDU website.

How to Apply for NDU Pre degree Admission Form.
The Registration Process is as follows:
- Visit the University Website on https://nduportal.com/ (a) Click on Predegree Application.
- Click on “Start Application” to create an account using your Fullname, Gender, Phone Number, Email, Contact Address and set a password.
- Click on buy EPin only online using your Bank Debit/Credit card.
- Fill the application form with the EPin purchased (generated, sent to your email and phone number) and apply for admission.
- Submit a copy of your completed application form to the office of School of Predegree and Basic Studies, ICT building, new site, NDU.
