Truth About JAMB New Method of Checking Result!

On Saturday 26th April 2019, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) informed the public that candidates can check their result by just sending “RESULT” to 55019. N50 will be deducted for this service!
According to JAMB, this new method is simplified to eliminate exploitation by business centres and cyber cafés who often take advantage of candidates.
The Truth Behind JAMB’s New Method.
1. After writing my UTME in 2015, my result was sent to me as text message FOR FREE.
What happened to that method? Why will JAMB charge candidates just to know their overall result. These candidates will also be charged N1,000 when they want to print the original copy of their result.
2. JAMB knows that UTME candidates are eager to know their result. So they announced that the results will be released anytime this week.
Innocent candidates have used the method above to check their result and were notified that “NO Result Yet” (after collecting their #50).
Before the JAMB result comes out, some candidates will because of curiosity, re-use the stated method at least 5 more times.
NAN reported that at least 1.7 million Nigerians wrote the 2019 UTME. Assuming just 200,000 candidates used to step above to know if their result has been released, how much will JAMB gain.
Yet JAMB says they want to help candidates save money????
Conclusion:
If JAMB really wants to help candidates from been exploited, they shouldn’t exploit the candidates themselves. Rather they should send the UTME results to candidates phone number FOR FREE.
Yes! UTME results should be sent to candidates FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
