Nigerian Students Excel, Secure 22 Medals at Math International Event in Bulgaria

The Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) achieved remarkable success by winning 22 medals at the Mathematics without Borders International Tournament held in Bulgaria. This tournament, organized to promote the study of Mathematics, consists of four rounds, with the initial two rounds hosted in partner schools.

Mr. Feyzullah Bilgin, the Managing Director of NTIC, lauded the students for their outstanding performance, highlighting that 90 students from various NTIC branches across Nigeria participated alongside 23,248 peers from 29 countries such as Canada, the U.S.A., Russia, and Turkey. Among them, 22 NTIC students secured a total of 6 gold, 4 silver, and 12 bronze medals.

Special recognition was given to Abubakar Hafsat, Maryam Idris Bowu, Yunus Hassan Yunus, Luis Lu, Kaosisochukwu Karsten Enebe, and Oghenerukevwe Esemitodje Patrick for clinching gold medals in the first round of the competition.

In his words:

“From our school branches across Nigeria, 90 students participated simultaneously with 23,248 of their counterparts from 29 countries including: Canada, U.S.A., Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, at the end 22 of our students won 6 gold, 4 silver and 12 bronze medals.

“We specially recognize and commend our students: Abubakar Hafsat (Perfect Scorer), Maryam Idris Bowu (Perfect Scorer), Yunus Hassan Yunus (NTIC Yobe Primary); Luis Lu (NTIC Abuja Boys); Kaosisochukwu Karsten Enebe (NTIC Abuja Co-Ed) and Oghenerukevwe Esemitodje Patrick (Bright Sun College, Lagos Secondary) for winning gold medals in the first round of the competition.”
