NSUK Gets NUC Approval for Academic Programmes

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has secured the National Universities Commission NUC approval for academic programmes.

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has recorded a remarkable achievement in the 2025 accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and relevant professional bodies, further affirming its commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.

The comprehensive accreditation exercise, which covered twenty-six (26) academic programmes across various faculties, resulted in an impressive outcome with twenty-five (25) programmes receiving Full Accreditation status, while one (1) programme was granted Interim Accreditation.

The programmes that secured Full Accreditation span critical disciplines including Administration, Arts, Education, Environmental Sciences, Law, Natural and Applied Sciences, Social Sciences, and Allied Health Sciences. Notably, professional programmes such as Urban and Regional Planning and Health Information Management were also fully accredited by their respective regulatory bodies.

The only programme with Interim Status is Home Sciences and Management, which reflects partial compliance and is expected to attain full accreditation upon addressing minor gaps identified during the evaluation.

This outstanding performance underscores NSUK’s unwavering dedication to maintaining high academic standards, strengthening institutional capacity, and providing students with globally competitive education.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman expressed appreciation to the University community, including staff and students, for their collective efforts in achieving this milestone. She reaffirmed Management’s commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in teaching, research, and community service.

This achievement further consolidates NSUK’s position as a leading institution in Nigeria’s higher education landscape.
