The National Universities Commission (NUC), in a recent accreditation exercise, has granted full approval to various tertiary institutions across the country for the study of different academic programs in their schools.


The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State received full accreditation to offer six programs in Agriculture and Hospitality/Tourism Management in the Faculty of Agriculture, English and Literary Studies, Theatre and Media Arts Studies in the Faculty of Arts, Demography, Social Statistics and Sociology in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Plateau was accredited to offer 23 bachelor of education courses following a visit by a team from the commission which assessed the programs between March and April this year.
Al-Hikmah University Ilorin, Kwara, on the other hand, received accreditation for 22 courses and one course interim. Some of the courses that got the full accreditation include cybersecurity, accounting, banking and finance, petroleum chemistry, mass communication, political science and conflict management, medical laboratory science, among others, and information system with interim accreditation.
