The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially approved the commencement of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) programme in Artificial Intelligence at Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa State.


The approval was conveyed in a letter dated 8th May, 2026, addressed to the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
According to the letter, the university successfully satisfied all requirements for the establishment of the programme, which will commence from the 2025/2026 academic session.
This development marks a major academic milestone for Modibbo Adama University as it continues to expand into emerging fields of technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
The introduction of Artificial Intelligence further strengthens the university’s commitment to producing globally competitive graduates equipped with modern technological skills.
The university community and the general public have welcomed the approval as a giant step toward advancing research, innovation, and quality education in the institution.
