Nigerian Governor Gives N2m Each to 3 Best Graduating Students in His State University

Cursory: The three best graduating students of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) representing the 2020/2021, 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic years, have been awarded N2 million each by the state Governor.

The Ogun State Governor, Governor Dapo Abiodun, gave a cash award of N3m to three best graduating students of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijebu-Ode, representing the 2020/2021, 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic years.

The cash award was announced during the 13th, 14th, and 15th convocation ceremonies of the institution.

The recipients are Sunday Oluwafemi, with a GPA of 4.89 (2020/2021); Obadina Patricia Elibe with GPA of 4.89 (2021/2022) and Mercy Deborah Sanyaolu with GPA of 4.86 (2022/2023).

A first class degree student in Mathematics, Okewale Nelson, who took advantage of the ingenious work-study programme of the institution, was awarded a cash of  N250,000 just to encourage other students that working while studying is not a deterrent to academic success.
