OSPOLY Notice to Staff & Students On Compulsory Wearing of ID Cards

Osun State Polytechnic, OSPOLY notice on restriction of the adoption of personal assistants (PAs) by officers of the institution and compulsory wearing of identity cards by staff and students

The activities of some touts who parade themselves as Personal Assistants (PAs) to some officers of the Polytechnic (Teaching and Non-Teaching) have come to the notice of the Management. This set of individuals engage in activities that are inimical to the entrenchment of peace on campus and have been noted to be aided by some officers of the Polytechnic

The Management hereby reiterates that the activities of such individuals are illegal and will be treated as such henceforth. Also in accordance with the provisions of a circular to the Polytechnic Community Reference Number REG.7A/VOL.V/199 of 6th July, 2022, restricting members of staff from having unauthorised Personal Assistants (PAs) and making it compulsory for all members of Staff to wear their identity cards, anyone found contravening the provisions of the Circular under reference shall be dealt with accordingly.

For the avoidance of doubt no member of Staff is allowed to keep or use any former student or any other individual as PA. Any individual that is not in the payroll of the institution is hereby restricted from any form of official operation in the Institution.

Consequently, all members of Staff are to ALWAYS wear their identity cards while in the premises of the Institution, any member of Staff who contravenes this directive shall be appropriately sanctioned

The law enforcement agents and the Directorate of Media, Public Relations and Protocol have been duly empowered to ensure strict compliance of the provisions of this circular.
