Cursory: Bimbo Ademoye, one of Nollywood’s fastest-rising stars and a renowned YouTuber, recently took to the internet to thank a woman for successfully channeling one of her most well-known personas.
Fast-rising Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye recently posted a message online on how moved she was by something one of her fans did.
The Iya Barakat look-alike was photographed for her school’s costume day, and the Anikulapo movie star said she was moved and almost cried when she saw the picture.
Bimbo asked for help tagging the young woman who donned the Iya Barakat look for UNILAG‘s costume day, saying that she created the series/brand almost as a joke but it has now become well-known.
The actress also mentioned how the series’ nomination for prizes, including the AMVCAs, came as a complete shock.
“Pls tag her if you know her. Let her know she brought me close to tears. This beauty showed up as iya barakat for costume day in unilag . For some reason , this got me so emotional. I started the iya barakat brand as a joke , 1 year later ,she’s now a household name bagging nominations and being requested by brands. MA SHA ALLAH.. iya barakat to the world,” her Instagram post reads.
