Primary 3 Girl Writes Heartfelt Love Letter to Classmate, Ending with “I Love You”

A primary 3 girl’s heartfelt love letter to a classmate, ending with “I love you,” has gone viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions on the appropriateness and influence of such expressions at her age.

A young girl in primary 3 has captured attention online with a touching love letter she wrote to a classmate, signing off with “I love you,” in a post widely shared on X (formerly Twitter).

In the video, the girl sits calmly as her letter is displayed, saying: “Dear Jacing, everyone knows I like you, so I expect you to give me one more chance. For liking you, you’re even smarter than the people in your class. When you grow up, I will marry you because you’re a nicer boy. I love you.” She later reflects, saying, “Every time I like him. The first time I met him, I fell in love with him.”

The post humorously notes, “You think you have problems; someone out there is going to class 3 in 2024 and writing love letters to boys.”

As the video gained traction, users shared mixed reactions:

@jennifer_nworie remarked, “Little sister wey don Dey use lip gloss, what do you expect…?”

@Coach_Apeh admired her creativity: “Not all kids her age can actually write, spell, or be as creative as she is. She’s a star already.”

@SammyStine2 commented on societal influence, suggesting, “We’re forcing kids to be adults these days.”

@astala276 cautioned, “Children shouldn’t be encouraged to do this at a young age… It can lead to inner turmoil.”

@dGreatFolawiyo humorously noted, “But I reach JSS2 or JSS3 before writing my first love letter sha oo… primary 3?? Hmm, issokay.”

@Just_Ryan50 reminisced, “This would’ve led to 12 strokes on assembly ground back in my days.”

@Nayoka_Esc_23 stated, “There’s nothing wrong here… give her five years, and she’ll figure it out herself.”
