Smart Lady Makes N920 Million Selling Her Handwritten Nursing Study Notes, Handouts Online

Stephanie Beggs claims that after working in an office for the first nine months, she realized that marketing wasn’t her thing and made the decision to go back to nursing, her original field of interest. She claimed to have always cherished the practical care nurses offer and how they may link numerous other units.

Beggs, who works as a full-time emergency department nurse, educates her 67,000 followers on TikTok and through her Esty store, which earns her more money than her nursing employment, about nursing studies and her time in school. Beggs explained how she built her company from selling notes to producing goods in collaboration with renowned companies and producing YouTube video.

Beggs started posting videos on TikTok showing herself penning her study notes with colored pens to make them more visually appealing while she was training to become a registered nurse. These videos quickly gained popularity. The nurse said that making them aided her academic progress, but she also shared study hacks, volunteer options for the COVID-19 pandemic, and the ideal footwear for the workplace.

According to BusinessInsider, individuals were commenting on her articles and wondering if she sold her study materials because of the way she wrote them. She then made the decision to put the concept into action. In June 2020, she opened an Etsy store called RNExplained, where she offered nursing students 10 study papers for $2 each. She admitted that in the first two weeks, she had sold 50 study notes.

Beggs claimed that she continued to keep handwritten study notes for all of her main nursing classes, including pharmacology and her principal assignment of patients. Along with scanning them as PDFs, she would also put them for sale in her Etsy shop.

She started selling more note bundles on similar topics from $20 to $40 each. After creating all her notes, she said she would spiral-bind them after researching paperweights and delivery costs.

About 200 of the books, which she made and offered for sale on the Etsy website for $150 each, were quickly sold out. Beggs stated that she now sells roughly 15 copies of the book every day, making it her best-selling item. Since then, she has hired her aunt, who assists her with delivery requests.

After completing all her study notes, she branched off into selling crewneck sweatshirts to nurses since hospitals are known for being cold, so they can wear them to work.

She invited her Instagram followers to use one adjective to sum up a nurse and uploaded them on TikTok. Later, she had the words written on the sweatshirt’s back. Beggs claimed that it was her background in marketing that gave her the inspiration to come up with inventive new designs for the sweatshirts’ printing.

She has sent her goods outside to a number of nations, including the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The certified nurse has also worked with other companies to promote medical supplies. Since then, she has opened an Amazon storefront with nursing supplies, and if anyone makes a purchase through her link, she will receive a fee.

In October of last year, her RNExplained reached the $2 million sales milestone. Now, she wants to grow her workforce in preparation for opening a website alongside her storefront.
