A student of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has gone viral after sharing a heartbreaking experience of theft that occurred in her hostel during the school break.

In a video posted on her TikTok account, @baby___marvel, the student revealed that her room, which had been securely locked and stocked with food items before she left for the holidays, was broken into. She returned to find most of her provisions—including a large plastic container of garri—stolen.

Among the stolen items were spaghetti, cooking condiments, and other groceries, but what caught the internet’s attention the most was the theft of the garri, a staple food in many Nigerian homes.
