Founder of Chess In Slums Africa,a non-profit organization, Tunde Onakoya is being praised for helping kids who were unable to pay their school fees.
The techpreneur said he paid the tuition of a group of school children he saw loitering outside their school after being sent home.According to Tunde, they had been sent out by the school by the authorities for not paying their fees.
He felt that should not have happened, so he took the pupils back into the school and paid for all of them.He also revealed that he was in a similar situation about 15 years ago when he was still a student.
The Chess Master shared a photo of him and the kids, where it looked like he was paying their tuition.
Tunde wrote:
‘‘Found a couple of children hanging outside a school- they were sent out of class for not paying their school fees. I took them back in and paid for all of them. I used to be that kid 15 years ago”
