Two Children Stabbed After Armed Men Storm Birthday Party at School Hall

Two children were stabbed, and several others, including police officers, were attacked after armed men stormed a birthday party at a school hall in Essex, leading to three arrests and an ongoing police investigation.

Two children were injured after armed men stormed a birthday party held in a school hall.

The incident occurred on the evening of March 23 at Elm Park Primary School in Havering, Essex. Reports indicate that the armed men were among approximately 50 guests before launching their attack around 11 p.m.

A 19-year-old and a 16-year-old were stabbed but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers were also assaulted during the incident but did not require hospitalization after receiving medical attention from ambulance crews.

Three teenagers were arrested in connection with the attack. They were taken to a police station in East London and later released on bail, pending further questioning.

A witness described the chaos, stating that as she fled, the fire exit was inaccessible. She later boarded a train, where further altercations erupted.

“My daughter was attacked on the train, and more fights broke out. It was awful,” she said.

A spokesperson for the Met Police provided further details:

“Police were called shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, following reports of a fight on Calbourne Avenue. Officers arrived and engaged with a group of teenagers who became aggressive.

Three teenagers were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assaulting emergency workers. They were taken to an East London police station and later bailed pending further inquiries.

The officers received treatment from London Ambulance Service medics at the scene and did not require hospital care.

Separately, a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old sustained suspected knife injuries and were transported to the hospital. Their injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing. Both individuals are assisting police with ongoing investigations.

An inquiry into the circumstances of the incident remains ongoing.”
