The management of Abdullahi Fodiyo Library Complex at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), has adjusted the operational hours for the Main Library, Law Library, and Medical Library, effective from Monday May 19, 2025.


According to a circular issued by the office of the Readers’ Services Librarian, the library will now operate from 08:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays, and 08:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The libraries will remain closed on Sundays and public holidays.
The notice, signed by Umaru Alhaji Ibrahim on behalf of the Readers Services Librarian, also stressed that “No staff will be allowed to go off duty during vacation.” Library users were urged to cooperate with the staff to ensure smooth operations.
The circular has been distributed to key university offices, including the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellors, Registrar, Bursar, University Librarian, and other relevant departments.
