Top Nigerian Varsity Prohibits Political Campaign of Any Kind Within Its Premises

One of the best and oldest Nigerian Varsity, the University of Ibadan has Prohibited Political Campaign Of Any Kind Within Its Premises.

The University Management hereby informs members of the community that political campaigns of any kind and/or nature will not be allowed within the premises of the University, including anywhere in the classrooms, lecture theatres, on the fields, in the residential halls (Private or Public), or any companies, or structures within the precinct of the University.

The above is not an attempt to disenfranchise members of the community but to ensure the continued prevalence of a quiet, serene atmosphere for serious studies, more so now that semester examinations are ongoing.

There is the need to avoid clashes or noise-making that such campaigns may engender, thereby compromising the peace, law, and order being enjoyed within the premises.
