He did It! Nigerian Graduate Succeeds In Breaking World Record for Longest Singing Marathon

Emmanuel Okikiola, a 22-year-old Nigerian, has broken the record for the longest singing marathon in history.

In earlier news, the Ekiti State University graduate Emmanuel Okikiola embarked on a mission to break the world record for the longest singing marathon.

While he waits for official certification, the 22-year-old graduate Emmanuel Okikiola has broken the old Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon, and has set a new record.

In March 2012, Indian singer Sunil Waghmare achieved a record time of 105 hours, which Okikiola attempted to surpass.

His aim was to surpass the former record holder, by reaching a milestone of 150 hours.

As of 9:50 pm on Sunday, December 17, Okikola had already surpassed the 105-hour record, clocking 127 hours.

In an exclusive chat with Legit.ng, Okikiola said: “We are hitting 150 tomorrow by the special grace of God.

Okikiola is attempting to surpass the 150-hour mark in the record books to become the only person to have accomplished such a remarkable feat.

Okikiola stated that he wished to leave his mark by using music as a means of spreading positive messages, considering it to be a true tool for doing so.

“This has inspired me, and I feel compelled to share it,” he stated. “I have to take this action in order to disseminate a great deal of knowledge because music is a great tool for doing so throughout the nation.”

According to Okikiola, he was Logistically and physically, ready to surpass the 150-hour mark for the world record

He revealed that a prior attempt, which lasted for 62 hours, was unsuccessful because of logistical issues and device problems.

The Microbiology graduate said: “I was able to do 62 hours. But there was some logistics issue that I had. My camera broke down, and my time stopped.”
