University of Lagos, UNILAG Notice to 200 – 500 Level Students on Hostel Application and Deadline 2025/2026 academic session.


This is to inform all students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) that the application portal for hostel accommodation for the 2025/2026 Academic Session is now open. The application will close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Thereafter, the balloting exercise for hostel allocation will hold on Friday, November 28, 2025.
- Eligibility Criteria: 200 to 500 level students who have completed course registration for 1st Semester, 2025/2026 academic session, and are within the regular duration for their respective programmes are eligible to apply for bed spaces.
- Application Process: Eligible 200 to 500 Level students must apply through their portals for hostel accommodation during the designated application window: Monday, November 17 to Thursday, November 20, 2025. In fact, you can also apply for accommodation as you are completing your course registration.
- Allocation Criteria: After the application window closes, bed spaces will be allocated randomly via a balloting system amongst all eligible applicants.
- Important Dates to Remember:
- Application Start Date: Monday, November 17, 2025
- Application End Date: 11:59 p.m., Thursday, November 27, 2025
- Balloting Date: Friday, November 28, 2025
- Payment Deadline: Friday, November 28, 2025 (a week after allocation)
- Movement into Hall of Residence: Wednesday, December 3, 2025
All interested and eligible 200 to 500 level students are enjoined to note these guidelines and comply within the specified timeline.
PLEASE NOTE THAT:
- Students in El-Kannemi Hall 2; Gbajabiamila; Women Society; and other hostels in this category around campus are not eligible to participate in the balloting exercise.
The Student Affairs Division has the list of students living in these hostels, and any student who violates this directive will face the Students’ Disciplinary Board for social misconduct.
