UNILORIN Hostel Allocation Guidelines for All Students 2023/2024 [UPDATED]

UNILORIN Allocation of Hostel Accommodation Notice to All Returning Students. 

This is to inform all students especially the newly admitted students of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) that the Students’ Union Government Body of the University has issued the necessary guidelines and procedures for the online booking of hostel on university’s portal as follows;

LATEST UPDATE: UNILORIN notice to students on hostel balloting and allocation schedule, 2022/2023

The Students’ Union Government Body of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) is pleased to announce to all students of the University the schedule for hostel balloting and allocation for the 2022/2023 academic session as follows;

Monday, December 11th, 2023
• 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: 100-Level Students –
• 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Returning and Direct Entry Students

Tuesday, December 12th, 2023
12:00 PM: All College of Health Sciences Students.

Kindly note that only students who have completed the payment of their school charges will be eligible to participate in the bed space balloting process on the University portal. Thank you

• Log in to your portal using your username and password
• Navigate to Hostel Accommodations on the left side panel
• Select Hostel Accommodations, Check the available hostels tab, including the hostel countdown timer indicating when hostels will be accessible. If a hostel is available, view the list of hostels
• Click on “Make Reservation” to secure your bedspace, which will redirect you to the “My Reservation” section
• In the “My Reservation” section, observe the countdown timer indicating the duration within which you must make the payment and confirm your booking. Failure to do so will result in the expiration of your reservation, and the hostel will be released
• Click on “Proceed to Make Payment,” and upon payment confirmation, a bedspace will be allocated to you
• Access the “Printouts” option to print your hostel receipt and hostel allocation form
• The print out form after affixing a passport photograph is to be taken to the Student Affairs Unit for documentation before proceeding to the allocated hostel. 

Students are to follow the above stated guidelines to ensure a stress free online booking of hostel on the university’s portal. Thank you!

Students are enjoined to note that bed spaces are not transferrable or sellable.
