University of Uyo, UNIUYO Special Amnesty Programme For Students Admitted from 1995 academic Session.


The University of Uyo hereby wishes to notify the general public, particularly persons who were admitted into the University from 1995 academic session but were unable to complete their studies due to outstanding courses, that Senate of the University at its 133 meeting held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 considered and approved an AMNESTY PROGRAMME for students who could not graduate for one reason or the other and have failed courses that are not more than 24 credit hours.

Eligibility
- (i) The programme is for those who were admitted into the University of Uyo with effect from 1995 but who for one reason or the other could not graduate.
- (ii) The individuals must be persons who are desirous to complete their studies and obtain their certificates.
- (iii) The programme does not cover those students who were expelled from the University for one reason or the other.
- (iv) The amnesty is only for First Degree Programmes in the University.
- (v) The maximum number of credit load that can be registered by a student is 24 credit hours and will include first and second semester courses. Those with credit hours more than this are not qualified.
- (vi) The affected persons will pay the sum of twenty-five thousand naira only (N25,000.00) per course.
Implementation
- (i) The programme would be mounted during the long vacation before the 2025/2026 academic year.
- (ii) The duration of the programme would be eight (8) weeks, one (1) for publicity, four (4) of which would be used for intensive teaching, two (2) for examination administration and one (1) for marking and submission of results.
- (iii) Grades obtained would be used alongside with what the student had accumulated before dropping out.
Mode of Payment
All interested students are requested to pay their complete sundry charges through http://www.uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals and present their receipts to the Bursary Department for confirmation.
TIME TABLE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE AMNESTY PROGRAMME
- Publicity on start of teaching: Monday, Sept. 1, 2025-Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025 (1 week)
- Teaching/Revision: Monday, Sept. 8, 2025-Sunday, Oct. 4, 2025 (4 weeks)
- Examinations: Monday, Oct. 6, 2025-Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 (2 weeks).
- Publicity, computation of results and graduation of participants: Monday, Oct. 20, 2025-Friday, Oct. 24, 2025
