Cursory: A brilliant go-getter, miss Chinalurumogu Eze has received a very great opportunity to learn and gain new positive experiences after she won the opportunity to represent FCLA and Cannes Lion in RHSA.


A 300-Level Mass Communication student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Chinalurumogu Eze has won the 2023 Future Creative Leaders Academy (FCLA) prize for the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy. Consequently, she is to represent Nigeria at the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy (RHSA) in the Cannes Lion Festival in France by June 2023.
Nalu, as she is popularly known in UNN, won the prize following the first item of FCLA programme of which the participants were asked to create a 2-minutes video to demonstrate why they should be given the tickets to attend the Festival. The essence of creating the video was for each participant to convince FCLA and Cannes Lion jury that he/she is qualified to represent the organisation at the RHSA.
Amongst the 30 students who created different videos, Miss Eze’s video was the best, hence was announced the winner on Wednesday, 29th of March, 2023 in the WhatsApp group chat created for the competitors (students from different higher institutions in Nigeria).
“Finally, the Cannes Lions jury has chosen a winner to join the Roger Hatcheul Student Academy 2023 cohort. Congratulations to Chinalurumogu Eze of the University of Nigeria Nsukka,” announced Chini Africa in the WhatsApp platform.
A communication and media student of Ajayi Crowther University, Miss Oyinkansola Valerie Epidi won the prize in 2022. As the winner of the 2023 edition of the competition, Chinalurumogu Eze will be sponsored by Chini Africa, the organiser of FCLA, a student platform of the Pitcher Festival of Creativity in Nigeria, to attend the five days programme; celebrating, exploring, learning and networking festival (Cannes Lions International Festival) scheduled to hold from the 19th-23rd June 2023 in France.FCLA is an initiative of the Pitcher Festival of creativity designed for students in universities and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
It provides a platform for inspiring and immersing hopeful professionals into the world of advertising and other creative, marketing communications. Every year, the organisation organises the competition for about 30-40 students from different institutions and gives out different prices for the first, second and third winners; and chooses the overall winner to represent Nigeria in the RHSA at the Cannes Lions festival in France.
Chinalurumogu who is also the current Vice President of Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ) UNN, told Prime Business Africa (PBA) that she excited to have won the 2023 Prize.
“This is a huge opportunity for me. We’re talking of going to France! I’m very excited about it. This is a plus to my career and a plus to my networking skills,” she stated happily.
According to her, she and 29 other students who would be attending from different countries would be receiving lectures from industry experts from different parts of the world, and at the end, they would be awarded certificates.
“I will be representing Nigeria there, I will be attending Cannes Lions Festival, one of the biggest festivals in the world,” she added.
She further to advised her fellow students to always be on the lookout for new opportunities, so that they won’t miss it. “When you see opportunities, grab them. Opportunities are all around us, but the most important question to ask is; are you aware of it and when it’s happening?” She stated.
COngratulating the young lad, the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, took to his official Twitter page to praise her.
