Wellspring University has clarified the public on ownership of the University.

Our attention has been drawn to the publication by a group known as “Akpakomiza Media Strikers,” dated June 6, 2024, which alleges that the Ighodalo family – ditto Asue’s brother – owns Wellspring University.
We wish to clarify that, while it is a fact that Pastor Ituah Ighodalo serves as the esteemed Chancellor of Wellspring University, the University is not owned by the Ighodalo family.
Wellspring University was established by private investors who have been active in the university education sub-sector since 1983. The University remains committed to operating independently and ethically, with a focus on providing quality education to our students and contributing to the growth and development of Edo State and Nigeria at large.
The publication linking the ownership of the University to the Ighodalo family is false, malicious, and intended to incite public disdain against our esteemed institution.
We, therefore, urge the University community and the general public to disregard this false and unfounded publication as the work of mischief-makers.
Signed, Registrar, Wellspring University.
