CURSORY : 10 members of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) have been sent to India, in commemoration of their independence.


In a post made on X ( formerly twitter) by NYSC on their official handle @officialnyscng, it was stated that 10 members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) will travel to the republic of India, to participate in a Youth Exchange Programme organized by the Indian National Cadet, on Sunday, 14th January.
The yearly independence day celebrating of the Republic of India usually attracts participates from Europe, Asia, Africa and other continents, and recently, including Nigeria.
Brigadier General YD Ahmed,the NYSC Director General, appreciated India for the to invite to allow participants from Nigeria to partake in the program.
According to the director general, the invitation was the second one given to Nigeria. He also said that the opportunity was important to showcase the potential of the Nigerian youths, and that the program allows the participants to understand the social economic similarities and differences between two countries.
He then congratulated the youth corpers on their nominations for the event and ask them to be of good conduct in line with the core values of the scheme.
