1000 teachers to be employed in Akwa Ibom state

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel has directed the employment of no fewer than 1000 teachers to fill up the teaching gaps in the state.

Governor Emmanuel further gave directives that the 2019 promotion results for teachers be released immediately.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Iniobong Ememobong disclosed this after resolutions made during the special State Executive meeting on education held in Government House, Uyo.

During the meeting, the Chairman, Education Technical Committee, Professor Hilary Inyang, presented the “Akwa Ibom State Education Roadmap”. Also, the report on the state of secondary schools in the State was presented by the Chairman, State Secondary Education Board, Dr Ekaette Ebong Uko.
