Fifty-three (53) students of Lagos State University (LASU) have benefited from a scholarship award totalling N47,414,160, disbursed by the West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) for the 2025/26 academic session.


The students received the award under WAPCo’s annual scholarship scheme, having fulfilled the criteria of satisfactory academic performance set by the company. The scholarship is intended to support tuition fees, books, and other study-related expenses.
The funds were released in four tranches:
- N23,707,080
- N15,804,720
- N2,634,120
- N5,268,240
This brings the total disbursement to N47.4 million.
Beneficiaries cut across several faculties and disciplines within LASU, including:
