Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK Issues Notice to Students on Deadline for Course Registration.


Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has announced the reopening of its course registration portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The announcement was contained in an internal memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar and dated January 12, 2026. According to the memo, the reopening was approved by the Vice-Chancellor to enable students complete their course registration for the session.
The university management disclosed that the course registration portal will be reopened for a period of two weeks, running from Monday, January 12, 2026, to Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Students who fail to register within this window will be subjected to a late registration penalty, which will apply from Monday, January 26, to Thursday, February 12, 2026. Thereafter, the portal will be permanently closed for first semester registration on Friday, February 13, 2026
The reopening, the university noted, is aimed at ensuring effective planning ahead of the first semester examinations, which are scheduled to commence on Monday, March 2, 2026.
The university urged all concerned students to take advantage of the opportunity and comply accordingly, stressing that timely registration remains a key academic requirement.
