Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has banned post examination celebrations and reckless driving on campus.

The Polytechnic Management has noted with dismay, the unacceptable celebrations commonly known as “Graduating Students’ Sign-Out fan fair”, organized by students to mark their graduation or last stay in the Polytechnic. Management has also noted that such activities have been going on in the Institution recently and have received complaints from various organizations on the abuse of their professional outfits.
In view of the above, all graduating students are to note that these activities are unacceptable by the Management, as they violate the Polytechnic’s rules and regulations. Management henceforth BAN sign-out celebration by all graduating students of the Polytechnic.
To this end, Management wishes to state categorically that any student(s) found contravening this ban will face severe disciplinary action in accordance with the Polytechnic’s guidelines.
All students and student organizations are expected to take note and comply strictly with this directive.
Please give this circular a wider publicity it deserves.
