Bayero University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the certified Chartered Accountants of United Kingdom (UK).


The signing took place on Thursday 8th February, 2024. The BUK team at the ceremony was led by the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Professor Aminu Muhammad, who described the partnership as one of the important linkages that give BUK students upper hand in their academic journey even after graduation.
The UK team leader, Mopelola Jatto, Key Account Manager, Northern Region, revealed that the organization has118 offices around the globe out of which three are situated in Nigeria.
According to her Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja had offices while the two offices take care of the Southern and Western regions of the country, while that of Abuja covers northern region.
“We partner with Nigerian Universities to support faculties and departments, and we provide highly discounted amounts when it comes to registration”, she explained.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas welcomed the team and expressed happiness for choosing BUK to be among the universities that would collaborate with ACCA.
“Accounting is a noble profession, and your visit comes at a time the university was shifting from teaching theory to preparing students to be ready for the outside university.
