Abdullahi Nasiru, a 23-year-old graduate of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) and newly inducted member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has claimed victory in the Accesspreneur Business Plan Competition.
The competition, sponsored by Access Bank and organized in collaboration with the NYSC Gombe State Chapter, seeks to foster entrepreneurial initiatives among corps members.
Abdullahi’s winning business plan, centered on aquariums and fish farming, captivated the judges and earned him the top prize of one million naira.
The competition offers cash prizes ranging from N100,000 to N1 million to support corps members in launching their businesses.
Chinwe Nnenna Nwachuku, the Gombe State Coordinator, commended the program for motivating corps members to build secure futures through self-development.
Abdullahi credited his triumph to his background in accounting, his experience in fish farming, and the support of fellow graduate Ashir Adam.
He intends to use the prize money to establish an aquarium and fish farming business, with the goals of reducing unemployment and generating revenue.
