UNIBEN has received N24.4 million from the Nigerian Education Loans Fund (NELFUND) to support 332 students, with the Vice-Chancellor expressing gratitude to the Federal Government for the initiative.
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for its significant efforts in improving student welfare and enhancing the tertiary education system.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami, conveyed this appreciation in a letter to the Nigerian Education Loans Fund (NELFUND) Scheme, acknowledging the receipt of N24,412,500 (Twenty-Four Million, Four Hundred and Twelve Thousand, Five Hundred Naira) allocated to 332 students of the university.
In the letter, dated August 11, Professor Salami thanked the Fund for approving the loan applications of the students, which will assist with school fees and upkeep. She also reaffirmed UNIBEN’s commitment to supporting the academic success of its students.
