Abdul Rahman appoints New CPDD Chairman, Directors

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved the appointment of Prof. Muhammad Isa Kida, the Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, as the new Chairman of the Committee of Provosts, Deans and Directors (CPDD).

This is just as the vice-chancellor has appointed directors of two centres in the University.

A statement issued by the Registrar, FULafia, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, said that the appointment of the new chairman of the CPDD is for a period of two years and it takes effect from October 15, 2024.

The statement said that Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman has, similarly, approved the appointment of Prof. Muhammad Tanko Aliyu as the Director of the Centre for Security Studies of the University.

Also appointed is Dr Jude Chinedu Onwuka who is now the Acting Director of the Centre for Local Economic Development (CLED)

The statement said that the appointment of the Director of the Centre for Security Studies would subsist for two years while that of the acting director of the Centre for Local Economic Development (CLED) would subsist for one year.

The two appointments take effect from October 15, 2024.
