Adeboye Appoints Former UNILAG VC as Chair of Redeemer’s University Governing Council

Pastor Enoch Adeboye has appointed Professor Toyin Ogundipe, former UNILAG Vice-Chancellor, as the new Chairman and Pro-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University, along with a reconstituted Governing Council.

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has appointed Professor Toyin Ogundipe as the new Chairman and Pro-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State.

Professor Ogundipe, the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, succeeds Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, the RCCG’s Assistant General Overseer for Training and Education.

The announcement was made through a statement issued on Monday by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Adetunji Adeleye, in Osogbo.

The statement also revealed the other members of the reconstituted Governing Council, including:

• Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele – Vice-Chancellor
• Professor Ahmed Parker Yerima – Deputy Vice-Chancellor
• Professor Olalere Gabriel Adeyemi and Professor Christian Happi – University Senate Representatives
• Professor Idowu Odebode – University Congregation
• Professor Emmanuel Ajav, Pastor (Mrs.) Tomi Somefun, Pastor Sola Olukoya, and Dr. Olaniyi Salau (Legal Practitioner) – RCCG Representatives
• Mr. Tobi Aniyi – Redeemer’s University Alumni Representative
• Mrs. Funmilayo Olusola Kolade – National Universities Commission Representative
• Mrs. Mojisola Oje – Registrar and Secretary to the Council.
