The National University Commission (NUC) has given Fountain University, Osogbo the approval to run seven new undergraduates programme effective from the 2024/2025 academic session.


The new programmes are B.A. Ed. Islamic Studies, B.A. Ed. Arabic Studies, B.A. Ed. English, B.A. Ed. Economics, B.A. Ed. Computer Science, B.LIS Library Information Science, and B.Sc. Food Science.
The news of the approval was contained in a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor from the National Universities Commission.
While extending the best regard of the executive secretary of the commission, the letter noted that the approval followed the satisfactory assessment on the human and material resources available for the establishment of the programmes as conducted by panels of experts from the commission.
Receiving the news, the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, Prof. Olayinka Karim appreciated the professional gesture extended to the university while also pledging the commitment of the school towards making the best use of the opportunity.
Prof. Karim also commended the University stakeholders, staff, and students of the university for putting all hands on deck for the smooth takeoff of the programmes.
The Vice Chancellor finally called on interested individuals to leverage the newly approved programmes to drink from the fountain of knowledge the citadel of learning is offering.
