Ismail Adua Mustapha is Nigeria’s first Professor of Aviation Law.


He was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Business Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, in 2008. Professor Mustapha obtained his PhD from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2014.
A renowned expert in Business Law and Aviation Law, he has published numerous articles in his specialist areas in both national and international journals.
Professor Mustapha is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria. He has served as an External Examiner at the Council of Legal Education, Nigeria.
His primary research interests lie in Aviation Law and Business Law.
Professor Mustapha joined the University of Ilorin on 23rd February 2008 as an Assistant Lecturer and progressed through the ranks to become a Professor. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Business Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin.
