A determined and brilliant Nigerian woman, Reni Fasawe, has achieved an extraordinary academic milestone by returning to university to pursue a degree in Medicine—after already earning a degree in Biochemistry.
Reni’s academic journey began in 2013 when she first enrolled at Bowen University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in 2017. Following her graduation, she completed her mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
Despite holding a degree, Reni remained unwavering in her long-held dream of becoming a medical doctor. In 2019, driven by passion and purpose, she made the courageous decision to return to Bowen University—this time to study Medicine and Surgery (MBBS).
After six years of rigorous study and dedication, Reni graduated with flying colors, earning distinctions in several critical medical courses. Her stellar academic performance earned her the honor of being the second-best graduating student from the College of Medicine, as well as multiple awards and recognitions.
Reni Fasawe’s inspiring 12-year educational journey is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams. Her story is one of resilience, passion, and excellence—proof that with determination, anything is possible.
