NWUS Shifts Commencement of Second Semester Examinations to Tuesday.

The Management of Northwest University, Sokoto (NWUS), wishes to inform students, parents, guardians, and the general public that the commencement date for the 2024/2025 Second Semester Examinations has been shifted from Monday, October 13, 2025, to Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

The adjustment follows numerous appeals received from parents and sponsors requesting an extension to enable them to complete the payment of tuition fees for their wards.

In a statement, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza, explained that the University Management considered the requests in good faith and approved a 24-hour grace period to ease financial settlements and ensure that all eligible students participate in the examinations.

“The University has therefore considered the numerous requests by sponsors and parents to give them a 24-hour grace period to clear their outstanding tuition fees,” Prof. Bunza stated.

He further urged students to take advantage of the additional time to intensify preparations for their examinations, while commending parents and guardians for their continued understanding and support.

The Vice Chancellor assured that the brief adjustment would not affect the approved academic calendar and that all examination arrangements remain in place for a smooth and successful conduct.
