The Postgraduate School hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the underlisted postgraduate programmes at the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, for the 2023/2024 academic session.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The University requires five [5] CREDITS including English Language at Ordinary Level (GCE, WASC, SSCE,NECO and NABTEB) for ALL courses, and credit in MATHEMATICS at Ordinary Level for SCIENCE, SOCIAL SCIENCES, MANAGEMENT SCIENCES and EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT courses

- POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (PGDIPSS)
- MASTER IN PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (MIPSS) PROFESSIONAL
- MASTER OF ARTS IN PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (MAPSS)
- Ph.D PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (PPSS)
- DOCTOR OF PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (DPSS) PROFESSIONAL
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (PGDIPSS)*
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- To qualify for admission into the Post Graduate Diploma in Peace and Security Studies (PGDIPSS),the candidate must possess a combination of the following qualifications:
- (i) Minimum of Five (5) O’ Level Credits, which must include English Language;
- (ii) Bachelor’s Degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences or Management Sciences, Science with atleast a Third-Class Division from Lagos State University or any recognised university.
- Candidates with a minimum of HND (Lower Credit) or professional certificates in International Relations, Strategic Studies, or Security can also apply.
WAIVER
- Mature candidates (35 years and above) with less than Five (5) O’Level Credits and EnglishLanguage but with at least five (5) years of working experience will be allowed on the programme.
- Such candidates will, however, have to meet the university admission requirements before they canutilise the Diploma for admission into the Master programmes of the Centre.

DURATION
- Three (3) Semesters (Part-Time)
*MASTER IN PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (MIPSS)*
*Admission Requirements*
- Candidates seeking admission into the Master in Peace and Security Studies (MIPSS) professional programme must possess a combination of the following qualifications:
- (i) Minimum of Five (5) O’ Level Credits to include English Language;
- (ii) Bachelor’s Degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Management Sciences or Science with atleast a Second Class Lower Division from Lagos State University or any recognised university.
- Candidates with a minimum of HND (Lower Credit) and Post Graduate Diploma in InternationalRelations, Strategic Studies, Peace and Security Studies, or cognate field can also apply.
WAIVER
- Matured candidates (35 years and above) with less than Five (5) O’Level Credits and English Language but with at least five (5) years of working experience will be allowed on the programme.
- Such candidates will, however, have to meet the university admission requirements before they canbe awarded the MIPSS degree certificate.
- Please note that all candidates shall be subjected to a selection process*.

MASTER OF ARTS IN PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (MAPSS)*
*ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS*
- Candidates seeking admission into the Master of Arts in Peace and Security Studies (MAPSS)programme must possess a combination of the following qualifications:
- i) Minimum of Five (5) O’ Level Credits, in not more than two (2) sittings which must includeEnglish Language;
- (ii) Bachelor’s Degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Management Sciences or Science with atleast a Second-Class Lower Division from Lagos State University or any recognised university.
- Candidates with a minimum of HND (Lower Credit) and PGD in Peace and Security Studies with aCGPA of 4.0 can also apply.
- Please note that all candidates shall be subjected to a selection process*.

- Four (4) Semesters of (Part-Time)
*Ph.D PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (PPSS)*
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS*
- Candidates seeking admission into the Doctor of Philosophy in Peace and Security Studies (DPSS) programme must have a combination of the following qualifications:
- (i) Minimum of Five (5) O’ Level Credits, in not more than two (2) sittings, which must includeEnglish Language;
- (ii) Bachelor’s Degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Management Sciences or Science from Lagos State University or any recognised university;
- (iii) M.A. or M.Sc., as the case may be, in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Management Sciencesor Science with at least a CGPA of 4.0 from Lagos State University or any recognised university.
- *Please note that all candidates shall be subjected to a selection process*.
*DURATION*
- Minimum of six (6) semesters and a maximum of eight (8) semesters
*DOCTOR OF PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES (DPSS) PROFESSIONAL*
- Candidates seeking admission into the Doctor of Peace and Security Studies (DPSS) programmemust have a combination of the following qualifications:
- (i) Minimum of Five (5) O’ Level Credits in not more than two (2) sittings, which must includeEnglish Language;
- (ii) Bachelor’s Degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Management Sciences or Sciences fromLagos State University or any recognised university;
- (iii) M.A. or M.Sc., as the case may be, in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, or Science with at least a CGPA of 3.0 from Lagos State University or any recognised university.
- *Please note that all candidates shall be subjected to a selection process*.
*DURATION*
Minimum of six (6) semesters and a maximum of eight (8) semesters
LASU Supplementary Postgraduate Admission Requirements.
The University requires five [ 5 ] CREDITS including English Language at Ordinary Level (GCE, WASC, SSCE, NECO and NABTEB) for ALL courses and credit in MATHEMATICS at Ordinary Level for SCIENCE, SOCIAL SCIENCES, MANAGEMENT SCIENCES and EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT courses.
How to Apply for LASU Supplementary Postgraduate Form.
Applicants are required to pay the sum of Thirty Thousand, Three Hundred Naira (N30,300.00) only non-refundable application fee into LASU Account online.
All applicants shall be required to sit for qualifying Entrance Examination on the Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

CLOSING DATE: Sale of application forms will be closed four (4) weeks from the date of this publication.
Application forms for all programmes should be submitted on-line and a copy of the e-Registration slip printed out by the applicant.
NOTE:
- Candidates who have not completed the National Youth Service Corps assignment or their current Postgraduate Programmes need not apply.
- All academic transcripts must be received latest two weeks after the close of sale of forms.
- Request for transfer of processed application forms from one Department to another will not be entertained.
- Candidates must personally attend the selection and written examinations as make-up test will not be conducted.
