Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) Resumption Date for 2023/2024 Session has been Announced.


At its Special meeting, held on Tuesday, 24th September, 2024, the Senate of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University had deliberated on the above subject matter and having been satisfied with the percentage of progress of work on the full restoration of electricity in the University, had approved for reopening of the University and resumption of academic activities as follows:
- Date of resumption Monday, 30 September, 2024
- Commencement of lectures – Wednesday, 2nd October, 2024
In view of the above, all students are expected to return to the University for their normal academic activities as indicated.
The University Senate and the Management use this opportunity to express their gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Ph.D, CON, for his prompt intervention in providing solution to the lingering problem of electricity supply faced by the Institution. The Senate also commend the patience of the students, parents and all other stakeholders during this trying moment.
By this information, all students are hereby notified that,lectures and other curricular activities will commence on the aforementioned date.
All Students are therefore advised to turn up as directed and that they should brace up adequately to face their academic activities properly.
The Registrar is wishing all students a happy trip back to the campus.
