Six students of Taidob College, Abeokuta, Ogun state won the sum of 5 million Naira and a full scholarship to PhD level for their brilliant performance in the finale of Beautiful Ones are Born (BOAB) competition for both private and public secondary Schools in Nigeria.
About 30 schools competed for the grand prize and Taidob college students of Ogun state won the grand prize of 5 million naira and full scholarship to PhD level defeating 174 other students.
The competition held in Human Resources Development Center, Lagos made the six students’ dream come true.
The brilliant students that represented the college at the debate and brought glory to both the school and Ogun state are: Olajide Kikiope, Ojelere Fisayomi, Sobiye Sharon, Omeike Raphel, Alao Elijah and Akinwunmi Joshua who emerged top in Mathematics and Sciences.
The Chairman of Platform Capital, Dr. Akintoye Akindele while congratulating the outstanding students said investing in the children means investing in the future and that the competition was organized to inspire and challenge secondary school students as African kings and queens.
