A mother of one of the students who were involved in the auto crash in Lagos recently Mrs. Olajumoke Apolebi has narrated some of the events that happened prior to the death of her 14-year-old son, Israel Taiwo Apolebi.
Recently, some students of the Ojodu Grammar School got involved in an accident with a truck in the Ogba-Ojodu Berger area of Lagos state wherein some students lost their lives while others reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries during the truck accident.
An incident that has got Families of the victims demanding that the incident be probed.
Mrs. Olajumoke while narrating her ordeal said: “Isreal was ill on the day of the incident, and I begged him not to go to school. However, he insisted that he wanted to write his examinations as he hoped to be great. He promised that he would return home after writing his examination. Isreal was my hope.” She said.
She had also narrated how she had suffered along with Israel as single mother and how she hoped that the would be successful in the future to turn things around for her.
Little Israel, what wold have made him to know that he will be involved In the accident that will later cost him is life. We commiserate with Israel’s mum over the loss. It is not easy to loose a child whom you watch grew up.
