This is to inform all prospective candidates who have chosen Bauchi State University Gadau as their University of first choice, that online screening for the 2026/2027 admission commences Monday, 1st June 2026
All prospective candidates into various programmes of the University who have scored 150 and above in their 2026 JAMB/UTME should visit the screening portal here for the screening procedure.
When filling out the screening forms, candidates awaiting their O ‘Level results are required to indicate clearly AWAITING RESULT (AR) in the grades column of the forms. Once such results are released by the examination bodies, they are required to make them available for sighing during physical screening.

- Scored a minimum of 150 points in the 2026 UTME examination;
- Obtained a minimum of five (5) relevant credits at O’ level (including English and Mathematics);
- Sat for the relevant UTME subject combination in the 2026 JAMB examination;
- Candidates awaiting O’level result are eligible to apply but must indicate clearly AWAITING RESULT (AR) in the grades column on the screening form. Candidates are to make available such results once they are released by the Examination bodies.
- Direct Entry (DE) candidates shall in addition to the minimum of five (5) O’ level relevant credits (including English and Mathematics) must have scored a minimum of 7 points in IJMB or NCE and at least lower credit in ND.

How to Apply for BASUG Post UTME.
Eligible candidates are to pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira Only (N2,000.00) for the screening exercise through the payment options provided on the University’s website.
To apply, follow the procedure below:
- Visit BASUG Online Screening Portal by CLICK HERE.
- Click on New Application. if you have already created an account, LOGIN HERE
- Enter your First name, last name, other name (not compulsory) and JAMB Registration Number.
- Click on Create my account.
- You will be redirected to a login page. Use your JAMB registration Number as your username and password.
- Click the “login”
- Once logged in, you’re required, you will see “Select Application Type”, click on it and select “Degree”.
- Enter your phone number and email address.
- Click on “I have verified the above information to be correct and accurate”.
- Click on “I Accept”.
- Proceed to make payment using your ATM Card Details.
- After payment you will be redirected to complete your registration.

BASUG Post utme screening:
The screening modalities for this year are yet to be released.
You MIGHT be contacted via SMS on your phone for the date, time, and venue for your screening.
You MIGHT ALSO BE required to present the originals of your relevant credentials:
- O’ level results, JAMB result/acknowledgment slip, A’ level results, diploma or IJMB – as applicable to you. Photocopies of all results presented will be submitted at the center.
- The photocopy of O’level certificate/statement of result(s) will be accompanied by appropriate utility card (scratch card for accessing result) of the examination body.
- You are to submit photocopy of indigene letter, certificate of birth/declaration of age and a copy of the printed post UTME application form.
