The Senate of Adamawa State University, ADSU has Elected Two Deputy Vice Chancellors for Confirmation By Governing Council
Adamawa State University, In accordance with the provisions of the law establishing Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, at its 128th Regular Senate Meeting, held on Thursday, 29th May, 2025, has elected two Deputy Vice Chancellors Academics and Administration for appointment as substantive DVCs by the Governing Council.
The Senate meeting, chaired by the Vice Chancellor Prof Augustine Clement, took place at the University Senate Chamber. In line with statutory requirements, four eligible members of the Senate were nominated by the Vice Chancellor, from which two were elected through a transparent voting process.
The elected candidates are:
- Professor Aliyu Jibrilla Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics)
- Professor Marcel Agah Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration)
Their names will be forwarded to the University Governing Council for confirmation and formal appointment as substantive Deputy Vice Chancellors, in line with the ADSU Law.
This development is a significant milestone in the ongoing commitment of the University leadership to uphold transparency, meritocracy, and adherence to institutional statutes.
