A latest global ranking released by Standford University and Elsevier for 2025, has listed Dr. Zakariyya Uba Zango from the Chemistry Department, Al-Qalam University Katsina among the top 2% scientists worldwide.

Each year, Standford University and Elsevier discover leading researchers across 22 fields in universities and research institutions worldwide, based on number of publications, citations and impactful research.

The achievement by Dr. Uba Zango ranks him as number 2 globally in the field of Wastewater Remediation and also the most cited researcher at Al-Qalam University Katsina.

Al-Qalam University also gained traction worldwide as a prestigious University in terms of conducting impactful research, quality and quantity publications and citations.
