Augustine University Appoints Two New Associate Professors.


In a landmark development, Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, has announced the appointment of two new Associate Professors, marking another significant milestone in the institution’s academic growth and pursuit of excellence.
The appointments were approved by the University’s Governing Council at its meeting held on Wednesday, 20th August, 2025.
The newly appointed Associate Professors are:
- Dr. James Onyeashie, Associate Professor in the Department of English
- Dr. Theophilus Aguguom, Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance
The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Alaba Akinwale, OP, congratulated the new appointees and commended their academic achievements and contributions to scholarship. He noted that the appointments reflect the University’s continuing efforts to strengthen its academic base and uphold high standards of teaching, research, and community service.
It will be recalled that in 2024, the University appointed its first set of senior academics; two Professors and two Associate Professors, marking a major step in its academic growth.
With the appointment of two more Associate Professors, Augustine University adds to its growing list of accomplished scholars.
