College of Agriculture, Lafia (COALAFIA) PGD, HND, pre-ND and pre-HND admission forms for the 2025/2026 academic session are now on sale. The closing date is on 18th October, 2025. See how to apply and other details below.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the College of Agriculture, Lafia (COALAFIA), Nasarawa State, HND, pre-ND and pre-HND programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The registration is currently on sale and will end 18th October, 2025.

A. Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) Science 1-year

B. Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) 1- year

Admission Requirement for HND programmes

Candidates for HND programmes are to apply by log into the College website www.coastlafia.edu.ng for admission requirement of the above listed programmes and to pay the sum of N6,000.00 only.

PRE-ND PROGRAMME – Science and Technology

For admission into the Pre-National Diploma Programmes, candidates must : possess the following

Four (4) subjects at credit level, at not more than two sittings (which must include Mathematics and English Language plus any two subject relevant to the proposed field of study from the following; Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition, Home Management, Geography, Economics in the General Certificate of Education (GCE): Ordinary Level” Examination, Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) or their equivalents.

PRE-HND PROGRAMMES

Candidates for Pre-HND Programmes are to apply through COAST Lafia Consult with the sum of N6,000.00 only as processing fee.

PGD PROGRAMME:

The College has commenced PGD Programmes in the 2025/2026 Academic Session. The PGD Programmes are as follows:

• Agricultural Economics
• Agricultural Extension and Communication
• Agronomy with option in Crop Protection
• Agronomy with option in Crop Science
• Agronomy with option in Soil and Water Management
• Animal Science vii. Aquaculture and Fisheries Management
• Home Science and Management.

Admission Requirements

The following may qualify for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma programmes:

• Candidates must possess five (5) ‘O’ level credits including Mathematics, English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and Physics in not more than two sittings;
• Graduates from Universities with at least 3rd class degree in relevant fields;
• Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least an upper credit from a recognized Institution in Agriculture or related disciplines may be considered;
• HND holders with lower credit with relevant post-qualification experience; and
• Holders of other qualifications which may be acceptable to the Academic Board.

Candidates for PGD programmes are to apply by log into the College website www.coastlafia.edu.ng and to pay the sum of N20,000.00 only.

How to Apply for COALAFIA Admission Form.

The cost of admission forms is as follows.

• Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND):
• Pre-HND: N6,000.00
• HND: N6,000
• PGD : N20,000.00

Interested candidates are to visit the College website at www.coalafia.edu.ng to create user account and Generate CBS Invoice Reference Number for payment at any bank of their choice through the College portal.

All applicants should note that the closing date for the sales of form for 2025/2026 Academic Session is 18th October, 2025

NB: Candidates are to print their application forms with attached photocopies of their credentials, transcripts and submit to the Academic Office of the Registry, College Of Agriculture, Science & Technology, Lafia, Nasarawa State on or before 18th October, 2025.
