The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, (UNILAG), Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, has revealed that the Distance Learning Institute, UNILAG is set to commence four new programmes in the next academic session.


She made this disclosure, while addressing newly admitted students of the Distance Learning Institute at the 2023/2024 Blended Matriculation Ceremony of the Institute held at the Nurudeen Alao Auditorium, DLI, UNILAG on Friday, April 5, 2024.
She disclosed that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted the University approval to commence the following four programmes at the Distance Learning Institute: Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Bachelor of Science in Finance, Bachelor of Education in Guidance and Counselling, and Bachelor of Educational Administration.
Welcoming the matriculating students to the University of First Choice and the Nation’s Pride, Prof. Ogunsola congratulated the matriculating students for selecting the open distance learning form of education, “as it is the way of the future” and charged them to be of good character “in deed and in truth”.
The new intakes were presented to the Vice-Chancellor by the Director of the Institute, Prof. Risikat Dauda and sworn in by the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde.
