An accounting exam at the University of Calabar was cancelled after a student confessed that the question papers mistakenly contained both the questions and their answers, prompting officials to halt the test and schedule a new one.

An examination in the Accounting Department of the University of Calabar was cancelled after a student disclosed that the question papers distributed contained both the questions and their correct answers.
According to reports from students present at the exam hall, the error occurred at the beginning of the examination when candidates discovered that answers were printed on the same sheet as the questions. Despite noticing the mistake early, students reportedly continued writing the exam without alerting invigilators.
The situation changed moments before the exam ended when a female student stood up and informed the supervisors of the error. Witnesses said she explained that she felt morally compelled to speak up and could no longer remain silent about the issue.
Following her disclosure, invigilators examined the question papers and confirmed that the answers had indeed been included. The examiner was immediately notified, and the examination was brought to an abrupt end.
Students were instructed to stop writing and submit their scripts, while department officials announced that a new date would be scheduled for a fresh examination.
The incident has since sparked discussions among students about academic integrity, conscience, and responsibility during examinations. As of the time of reporting, the university management had not released an official statement on whether disciplinary action would be taken against the examiner or if further investigations would follow.
